The Fund has been informed that international wire transfers into Afghanistan cannot be made at this time. The Fund has secured a new payment channel to remit pension payments as local/domestic transfers. If you are a beneficiary in Afghanistan, adjustments have already been made for the new payment channel and payments will be credited to your account effective with your November 2021 benefit. All necessary actions have been implemented by the Fund; therefore no action is needed on your part. In addition, past benefits returned to the Fund will be reissued via the new payment channel within the next three weeks.
