The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) Pension eLearning Modules are intended to cater to all participants, retirees, and beneficiaries of the Fund, providing them with essential information on their UNJSPF pension plan along with pension rights, options and obligations and practical guidance.
The eLearning Training Modules are free and available on the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) Blue Line platform. To access the UNJSPF eLearning modules, you must first be a registered user of the Blue Line platform. To register, please check the dedicated registration instructions at the end of the article.
The set of UNJSPF pension eLearning modules consists of two tracks – a General Track and a Specialized Track.
General Track: Pension eLearning modules for participants, retirees, and beneficiaries
The General Track consists of four modules (Modules 1, 2, 3, and 11) and is intended for UNJSPF participants, retirees, and beneficiaries. Through the General Track, learners will acquire important information on the UNJSPF pension plan along with their pension rights, options, and obligations as well as practical guidance. The four General Track modules are (the links below will only work after you are logged in the Blue Line platform):
- Module 1: Participation Essentials (all new participants in the Fund should take this module)
- Module 2: Benefits and Separation Essentials (participants preparing for separation, including on retirement, should take this module)
- Module 3: Essentials for Retirees and Beneficiaries (this module contains information that is useful in retirement, including about the annual Certificate of Entitlement (CE) process)
- Module 11: The Two-Track (this module provides guidance on how the Pension Adjustment System and the Two-Track system work)
It is strongly recommended to take these four modules in order (1-3, then 11).
Specialized Track: Pension eLearning modules for HR and pension partners and Staff Pension Committee (SPC) secretariats
The Specialized Track consists of seven modules (Modules 4-10) and is intended for the HR and Pension partners of the United Nations Family and SPC Secretariats of agency member organizations. It offers substantial guidance on UNJSPF practices and procedures (the links below will only work after you are logged in the Blue Line platform).

How to register for the UNJSPF Pension eLearning Modules?
To register on the Blue Line platform, please identify to which of the following user groups you belong and follow the steps indicated below:
- If you are a participant and staff of a UNJSPF member organization with an existing Blue Line account, you may access the modules directly on the Blue Line platform. Please follow this guide for the registration.
Log into your Blue Line account. Then, enter into the search field UNJSPF. This will show you all the existing UNJSPF modules. Click on the module you are interested in, then click on “Start”. Thus, you will be taken to the module page and see a message confirming that you are enrolled in the course. Scroll down and click on lesson one to start learning.
- If you are a participant and staff of a UNJSPF member organization with no Blue Line account, please submit this registration form using your work email. Please follow this guide for the registration.
After successful submission of your registration form, you will receive 2 emails (this should take only a few minutes):
– an email welcoming you to the programme.
– an email with provisional login credentials.
Log into your Blue Line account. Then, enter into the search field UNJSPF. This will show you all the existing UNJSPF modules. Click on the module you are interested in, then click on “Start”. Thus, you will be taken to the module page and see a message confirming that you are enrolled in the course. Scroll down and click on lesson one to start learning.
- If you are a retiree or beneficiary, please sign up here, using the “Non-UN” access. Please register with your personal email. Please follow this guide for the registration.
