Retirees and beneficiaries in Russia: update on pension payments into/through Russian banks

18 May 2022

We would like to provide an update to our previous announcements regarding pension payments to Russia. Our banking partner has informed us that US dollar payments for April 2022 benefits were successfully remitted to US and European banks operating in Russia as well as to some local banks.  However, we are experiencing extraordinary delays for payments being made to Russian banks, which have been subject to sanctions.

We will be in communication with beneficiaries who are directly affected by the delays.  While we continue to work with our banking partner to find a solution, we would like to advise our retirees and beneficiaries who have bank accounts with sanctioned Russian banks (i.e., Sberbank and Alfa Bank) to open an account with a non-Russian bank such as Citibank, Raiffeisen Bank or UniCredit Bank.  Once done, please complete form PF.23 and return it to the Fund with your official ID and bank document.

If you are enrolled in Member Self-Service (MSS), please upload the completed PF.23 form in MSS. If you are unable to upload it in MSS, you must mail the original form bearing your original ink signature to the address below:
