Regulations, Rules and Pension Adjustment System of the UNJSPF

The Regulations of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund were adopted by the United Nations General Assembly by resolution 248 (III), effective 23 January 1949, and have been amended by the Assembly a number of times since then, following recommendations by and consultation with the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Board.

The Regulations together with the Administrative Rules, Rules of Procedure and Pension Adjustment System set out the governance of the Fund, the benefits that are payable and how they are administered, and the rules of procedure for the proceedings of the Board and the Staff Pension Committee of each member organization. In addition, the Fund’s appeals process is found in the Administrative Rules.
